RP game theory is: the more a data sovereignty economy grows & thrives, the more a DEX & institutional clearing house that underwrites & stabilizes the economy is worthwhile. & the more stable & worthwhile the marketplace becomes, the more app developers will want to build on it.

Prelim tests of the RP blockchain for on-chain database-only activity show support for +100K transactions per second. More to do on performance testing - you need to check the seasoning as you cook; but as the aim is for a light, fast chain stack - so far, so good!

Market volatility points to the case for clearing. Institutions are fine managing market swings - that's their job. However, they do need some comfort that any aspect of a portfolio can be entered into & exited cleanly & w proper clearing backstops, especially the riskier bits.

An upgrade to commit/reveal randomization for the random-Delegated-Proof-Of-Stake algo has been released & is in testnet. rdPOS was designed as a step change innovation for a stable, fast & distributed blockchain suitable for universal practical use, from clearing to social nets.

RP initial focus for clearing is digital-to-digital. As the world moves closer to CBDCs, it's not unreasonable to think that a rebalancing away from digital-to-fiat can be in the cards. So it's sensible to hone focus on top tier d-to-d risk management protocols from the jump.

Folks in the old world of traditional finance recognize that market populism is a secular phenomenon, not a cyclical one; that it's a new world, where markets & money are transforming bc of distributed tech; & that solid bridges are going to be needed to go from old to new.

RP testnet has atomic validation to verify info that a user sends vs the blockchain. This allows anon & non-anon apps to co-exist in a user-choice ecosystem w data sovereignty; allows for KYC (for banks, exch, clearing) + content ownership rights, NFT markets, etc., + privacy.

A margin-based multi-lateral market w cross-ledger clearing & settlement is vital for crypto to expand & grow w institutions. Many are reluctant to advise clients to allocate into crypto w out market structure stability & cross-industry trade guarantee mechanisms. This'll change.

What is a clearing house? 1) a record keeping mechanism 2) a buyer for every seller & seller for every buyer & 3) a guarantee fund. Performing together in harmony this provides confidence in structural soundness, which is especially vital for markets that are volatile by nature.

We're not against AMAs per se. We just think it's not productive to be doing sessions where there will likely be very few questions pertinent to the current state of the project beyond what's been shared in pinned messages here, on Twitter, in Medium, on meaningful posts here, in the white paper, in the bios on the website, on LinkedIns, on Github where ongoing project progress is updated, in news interviews, etc. We can't actually think of something answerable & relevant to the state of the project that's not been answered; and while we understand that this project is novel for the crypto world, it's not a crypto project. It's a project to solve problems. That's where the project started: no one controls their data, how can that be fixed? So we settled on blockchain as a decentralized tech stack, which is self-sustaining by way of cryptocurrency. And we honestly believe this is doable, so long as we just stay focused on that principal and not pay attention to the static around "crypto". To put it another way, blockchain is the dog & cryptocurrency is the tail. The tail doesn't wag the dog. We will continue to provide updates as things progress though, in ways and means that are efficacious, as we have been. And as things progress, we’ll continue to update using whatever forums that make sense for a particular or specific thing (as we have been). Central Banks are looking at blockchain to digitize money. But how can they be "Central" & use "Distributed" Ledger Tech? & if not, what about individual privacy rights? It's a conundrum. A universal distributed blockchain w user sovereignty may be a layer worth considering here.

RevPop chose two orthogonal proofs of concept app structures on purpose: 1) social net SDK & 2) crypto clearing house. They are a) both meant to solve huge problems, b) divergent enough to demonstrate some blockchain universality, & c) can compliment & enhance the ecosystem.

RevPop's goal is to reconfigure the fabric of the digital economy through protocols designed to allow people to take back control of their digital lives and property. It's not going to happen overnight, but the project is focused on this mission.

RevPop 3-legged stool approach is 1) a layer-1 blockchain w an advancement on delegated POS algo in open source 2) a social net SDK w open source components compatible w the blockchain to allow competition for user data 3) a commercial crypto clearing house atop the blockchain.

#crypto markets are turning over +$200bn per day. That's some good inventory for a prospective clearing house.

As mining becomes marginalized due to the "difficulty" problem, we must continue to innovate on consensus algorithms in the open source community. We need more projects focused on iterating and improving.

#Ethereum is increasingly looking like "old tech" these days. It's like the COBOL of #blockchain. New native layer-1s will bring more innovation to the table if we let them.

The value in the #DLT/#crypto space is the ecosystem itself. Layer-2s & apps can bloom off of layer-1 projects because the more universal the layer-1, the more the need for practical functionality. & with more native & innovative ledgers, more tokens will need to trade & settle.

RevPop is an experiment in digital self-sovereignty that's so far working. Facebook must be feeling like the British throne in 1775. And there's as much on the line digitally now, as there was temporally then - but for the world this time.

It's been one week since the release of the RVP token, and this digital experiment in self-sovereignty, accountability & community is, unsurprisingly, working. The people have taken up the mantle. This Revolution will not be cowed or beaten back. It's the people's time.

From years of running tech projects with ETAs that are never accurate, we think it's best to continue work in github, continue to provide updates in twitter & here, and when light begins to form near end of tunnel, begin to put some meat on timeframes. But it's not going to be forever. It's in EVERYONE's interest to get into mainnet quickly, but to get into it correctly. Best we got 🙂
